Sherlock Holmes, the world’s most famous detective. From his rooms at 221b Baker Street, he set out to solve the most baffling mysteries, to the frequent amazement of his friend and associate Doctor John Watson. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle created the Sherlock Holmes stories and the adventures have been enjoyed all over the world, in the original book form, and in multiple film and television adaptations.
You’ve explored the mysteries and their “Elementary” solutions, now learn about the London locations where the stories are set. The Sherlock Holmes West End Tour is a two-in-one opportunity to get a great introduction to our capital city and its famous landmarks AND pass by many significant Holmes story locations, with the commentary telling you exactly where they fit in.
Doctor Watson himself will be your audio guide as we set off next to Baker Street, then meander down past the British Museum, to Aldwych, the Strand, Trafalgar Square, the River Thames, the heart of the British Government in Parliament Square and Whitehall, Piccadilly Circus and more.
Stay aboard* for the whole trip – about 1hr 40 minutes depending on traffic conditions – or break your journey for some extra sightseeing or perhaps a drink and some food at the fine Sherlock Holmes Pub near the river.
With the Sherlock Holmes West End Tour you’ll have a great view of London’s West End and you’ll be able to read the Holmes stories and say “I’ve been there!”.
The Sherlock Holmes West End Tour launches during July.
